Kyari’s death, rude shock – NCWS

The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) has expressed sadness over the death of Malam Abba Kyari, the Chief of Staff to President Muhammadu Buhari.
The NCWS National President, Mrs Gloria Shoda, said in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday that Kyari’s death came as a rude shock, having heard that he was already recovering from his illness.
”May the Almighty grant him eternal rest and give his loved ones the fortitude to bear the loss.
”Our thoughts and prayers go to his family, as we also commiserate with President Muhammadu Buhari.
”I received the news with shock, having heard earlier that he was already getting better.
”The fact that he died of Coronavirus further confirms that the virus is real and that people must stop joking about Blacks being immune to it and that heat weakens the strength virus.
”Coronavirus is no respecter of status, age, race or colour. We must all adhere strictly to the advice of the health workers and obey government instructions on the preventive methods, ”she said.
Shoda said Kyari lived a life worthy of emulation, adding that his legacies, intellectual prowess and commitment to service would continue to inspire generations of leaders.
