NCWS CELEBRATES NIGERIA AT 65TH INDEPENDENCE ANNIVERSARY
On behalf of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) and the entire Nigerian women, I, Princess Edna D. D. Azura, National President of NCWS, warmly felicitate with the Government and people of the Federal Republic of Nigeria on the joyous occasion of our 65th Independence Anniversary.
This historic day reminds us not only of the birth of our nation but also of the priceless gift of freedom , a freedom achieved through the sacrifices, courage, and determination of our founding fathers and mothers. Sixty-five years after that defining moment in 1960, we continue to uphold the ideals of unity, self-determination, and progress, which remain the bedrock of our collective journey as a sovereign nation.
Nigerian women, as mothers, leaders, and peace-builders, stand proud in their contributions to sustaining this freedom and advancing the vision of a greater Nigeria. We reaffirm our commitment to national development, peace, and empowerment across all sectors of society.
We extend our prayers and goodwill to His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he continues to lead the affairs of our dear nation with courage and renewed hope. We also celebrate and commend the First Lady of the Federal Republic, Her Excellency, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, our dear mother and Grand Patron of NCWS, for her tireless dedication to championing the cause of women, promoting education, and advancing empowerment programmes that are positively shaping lives across the country. Her passion is a beacon of inspiration to Nigerian women everywhere.
As we celebrate 65 years of independence, let us continue to guard our freedom jealously, embrace unity, and work together towards building a peaceful and prosperous Nigeria. The future of our nation remains bright when we rise as one people under God.
Happy Independence Anniversary, Nigeria!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Long live President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR!
Long live our dear mother and Grand Patron of NCWS, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON!
Long live Nigerian Women!
