NCWS Mourns the Passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman-Bauchi, Tijaniyyah Sufi Leader

The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria and its members are deeply saddened to learn of the passing of Sheikh Dahiru Usman-Bauchi, the revered spiritual leader of the Tijaniyyah Sufi order in Nigeria.

On behalf of the NCWS, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of the late Sheikh, the Muslim Ummah, and the government and people of Bauchi State and Nigeria. Sheikh Dahiru Usman-Bauchi was a beacon of Islamic knowledge and a champion of peace, leaving an indelible mark on the nation.

As a prolific author, scholar, and leader, he inspired countless Nigerians with his teachings. His contributions to Islamic literature and Sufism are invaluable, and his legacy will endure.

We pray that Allah grants Sheikh Dahiru Usman-Bauchi’s soul peace and mercy, and comforts his loved ones during this difficult time.
