CONDOLENCE ON THE TRANSITION TO GLORY OF OUR PATRIARCH, ARCHBISHOP EMERITUS NEMUEL A. BABBA

It is with a deep sense of loss, profound sadness, and total submission to the will of the Almighty God that I write on behalf of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria, and indeed on my own behalf, to commisserate with Your Grace, the entire LCCN congregation, and the immediate family on the passing of our revered father, the Archbishop Emeritus, Most Rev. Nemuel A. Babba.

The news of his call to glory came to us as a shock. We mourn the exit of an ecclesiastical giant, a respected elder statesman, and a true bridge-builder whose life was a testament to humility, integrity, and unwavering faith. Baba was a pillar of stability not just for the Church, but for the nation.

To the Church, he was a spiritual shepherd who led with compassion and wisdom. To the immediate family, he was a loving husband, father, and grandfather whose calming presence will be sorely missed. To the women of Nigeria, he represented a voice of reason and a strong protector of moral and family values.

While we grieve this monumental loss, we take solace in the impactful life he lived. He fought the good fight, he finished the race, and he kept the faith.

I extend my heartfelt sympathies to Your Grace on the loss of a predecessor and mentor, and to the immediate family on the loss of their patriarch. We pray that God Almighty grants you all the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss and comforts you with the assurance that he is resting in the bosom of the Lord.

May his gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

Yours in Service to Humanity,

Princess Edna D.D. Azura (Kwatam Mutaku),
National President,
National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria
