NCWS Celebrates the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child, Urges Greater Support for Girls to Lead and Thrive
The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria, joins the global community to commemorate the 2025 International Day of the Girl Child.
This year’s theme: “The Girl I Am, The Change I Lead: Girls on the Frontlines of Crisis” highlights the strength, resilience, and leadership of girls who continue to rise and make impacts even in challenging circumstances. The NCWS reaffirms its continuous commitment to advocating for the protection, education, and empowerment of every girl child in Nigeria.
We call on the government, parents, and stakeholders to continue supporting policies and initiatives that give girls equal opportunities to learn, lead, and succeed. Empowering the girl child today means securing a stronger and more equitable future for all.
