NCWS Mourns Former President Muhammadu Buhari, Pays Tribute to His Life of Service
The National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria joins the Federal Republic of Nigeria and the global community in mourning the passing of the immediate past President of Nigeria, His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari, GCFR, who died peacefully yesterday at a hospital in London.
On behalf of all members of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria and women across the nation, I extend our heartfelt condolences to the family of our late President, as well as to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and his wife, our dear mother, Her Excellency the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON; the Government; and the people of Nigeria and the global community.
Former President Buhari will be remembered as a patriotic leader, committed to national unity and progress. Those who knew him personally often spoke of his jovial nature and quiet, friendly demeanor.
As women and mothers, we understand the profound weight of this national loss. We pray that Almighty God grants comfort to his beloved wife, Hajiya Aisha Buhari, their children, and the entire family, as well as to His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, and his wife, our dear mother, Her Excellency Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON; the entire nation; and the global community in this time of sorrow.
May his legacy and patriotism inspire future generations to serve Nigeria with love, honor, and dignity.
