NCWS National President Hails WOWICCN for Championing Women’s Voice for Justice at Pre-Assembly Session

The National President of the National Council of Women Societies (NCWS) Nigeria, Princess Edna D. D. Azura has commended the Women Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria (WOWICCN) for its steadfast dedication to amplifying women’s voices in the pursuit of justice and national development.

Speaking at the WOWICCN Pre-Assembly Session held on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, Princess Azura described the gathering as a vital platform for reflection, learning, and collective action among women across the country. She applauded the organisers for fostering a space where women can unite to address issues affecting their communities and the nation at large.

Princess Azura praised the theme of the event, “Women Speak Out for Justice,” noting that it could not have been more timely. She emphasised that at a period when Nigeria continues to confront inequality, insecurity, and social injustices, the voices of women are essential for meaningful and transformative change.

“Women remain the moral conscience of the nation, the custodians of peace in our communities, and the strongest defenders of fairness and dignity,” she said. “When women speak for justice, nations listen, and progress follows.”

Reaffirming NCWS’s commitment to advancing women’s rights, strengthening families, and promoting justice, Princess Azura expressed the Council’s readiness to partner with WOWICCN in initiatives that uplift women and support community development.

She also conveyed deep appreciation to the WOWICCN leadership and members for their dedication to national progress, praying that the session would inspire unity, renewed determination, and impactful deliberations among participants.

The NCWS President concluded her goodwill message with blessings for the Women Wing of the Christian Council of Nigeria and for the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
